| Groups Workshop | 10th May | For many members, our Interest Groups are the heart of our u3as, and the main reason for joining. They are the life blood of a u3a and most of us have excellent experiences of belonging to (and/or leading) a variety of Groups. Yet, there are many issues attached to running our Groups; such as – encouraging new groups, supporting leaders, encouraging new leaders, waiting lists, over-full groups, managing groups’ finances etc. We will aim to discuss and share these, and other issues and thus support all u3as across the YAHR region and help them to grow and remain sustainable | St George’s Centre, Great George Street, Leeds LS1 3DL | Flyer Registration |
| Recruitment and Retention Workshop followed by AGM | 5th May | ALL u3a members are invited to our YAHR AGM, which will be followed by a workshop addressing the important issues of Recruitment and Retention of our membership. It will be led by Paul Martinez, who has recently spear-headed a national project on this issue. | YAHR Music Fest | 13th June | Come and celebrate the musical talent in our region at our first YAHR Music Festival. Performers and non-performers are invited to enjoy a wide variety of music, including choirs, ukulele groups, bands, guitar groups, recorder and flute groups, and jazz/swing. Refreshments will be provided so it should be an enjoyable day out. Cost is £15 per head.
