| YAHR AGM and Sharing Good Ideas Forum/Workshop 10.30 – 3.00pm Wednesday 18th March 2026 at St George’s Conference Centre, Great George Street, Leeds LS1 3DL Registration and coffee from 10.00am. The event will close at 3.00pm. | ||
| The AGM itself will start at 10.30 and should not take too long, leaving us the rest of the day for our workshop. Rather than having just one subject for the whole day, we will have a range of shorter items – contributed by our own members from across the region – sharing new ideas, projects, systems, etc. that have worked well for them. There should be something of interest for ALL u3a Trustees and other interested volunteers in the Yorkshire and Humber Region. We are open to good ideas to be included so, if your u3a has tried something new that you would like to share with others, please e-mail Angie Grain (events@yahru3a.uk) as soon as possible, and well in advance of the workshop, to discuss further. The event is FREE to attend and a simple buffet lunch will be provided. | ||
To Apply – use our online form below. The CLOSING DATE for applications is Sunday 8th March 2026 Please indicate, on booking, if you have any special requirements regarding access, learning needs or dietary needs. When you provide us with your email address, we will use it to inform you of YAHR events and activities. You can unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time via secretary@yahru3a.uk | ||

DIRECTIONS TO ST GEORGE’S CENTRE. This is a city-centre location within relatively easy reach of public transport. According to Google Maps it is about 14 minutes’ walk from the Leeds mainline station to St George’s Centre. (If you walk to the back of Leeds Town Hall – with a VERY large clock tower – and then turn left on Great George Street, pass the old Victorian part of the Infirmary on your right, then pass St George’s church again on your right and the Conference Centre is just behind the church. (If you get to the bridge over the Inner-City Ring Road – you’ve gone too far – turn back!) As parking is limited (and expensive) in any city centre, it is best to avoid bringing your car. If necessary, you can find parking via Google, perhaps The Light is the nearest. For travel directions please see: https://stgeorgescentreleeds.org.uk/find-us NB – If you Google ‘St George’s Centre, Leeds – there are TWO of them – check you have the Conference Centre on Great George’s Street, not the NHS one in Middleton. ACCESSIBILITY – Our meeting room and the toilets are on the ground floor and should be fully accessible. If you need permission to use their own (very limited) disabled parking space please send an e-mail, including your car make & model and registration number, to Angie Grain to arrange it for you.
